Understanding Blood Pressure Readings
Blood pressure is measured with two numbers: systolic (pressure when heart beats) over diastolic (pressure when heart rests). A reading of 120/80 mmHg is considered normal for adults.

Tips to Reduce High Blood Pressure
- Reduce sodium intake to under 2,300 mg/day (ideally 1,500 mg)
- Follow DASH diet — rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains
- Exercise 150 minutes/week at moderate intensity
- Limit alcohol and quit smoking
- Manage stress through meditation, yoga, or deep breathing
